UAE Federal Laws The United Arab Emirates has a federal judiciary that includes all the emirates except for Abu Dhabi, Dubai, and Ras al-Khaimah. The lower courts are concerned with civil matters, and they are courts of the first instance or first instance and are found in each emirate. There are also separate criminal and Sharia courts. As for the federal courts of appeal, they are found in each emirate. Abu Dhabi is the seat of the Court of Cassation, which is the highest court of appeal and has the power to adjudicate disputes between courts, decide the constitutionality of local and federal laws, investigate misconduct by senior government officials, and adjudicate offenses against the Federation.

The constitution prohibits torture or humiliating treatment, arresting, searching, arresting or imprisoning, and entering homes without the permission of their owners, except in accordance with the law. The constitution provides for the independence of the judiciary, but its decisions are subject to review by the political leadership.
